4th of July Ocean Kayaking to watch the
La Jolla Cove Fireworks Display - 2005

These pictures are not very good due to a non-digital camera, low light and the wrong kind of film. Not the photographer!!! hehe
At least you can get an idea of what it was like. The water temperature was so warm! No one complained of being cold and everyone loved the show.
Being right under where the fireworks explode is a unique and incredible experience.

Paddling out to The La Jolla Cove

Kicking back and having a great time waiting for the fireworks show to begin.

It's really hard to tell, but there are about 150 kayakers in this picture. There were about 300+ kayakers in all out to see the fireworks.

Did you notice how hard it is to see people in some of the above pictures? Well, imagine how close we must of been to the fireworks to get these clear of shots that I did. :-)

Everyone landed on the beach and is headed to the sushi restaurant to wait out the traffic. What an awesome night and 4th of July!!
